Mollye Asher is a NY based producer, director and two time Spirit Award Nominee. Her most recent film, SONGS MY BROTHERS TAUGHT ME (writer/director: Chloé Zhao), premiered in competition at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and had its international premiere at Cannes’ Director’s Fortnight. She is also the producer of the 2014 SXSW Grand Jury Prize winner, FORT TILDEN (writer/directors Sarah-Violet Bliss and Charles Rogers), which was distributed in theaters an on VOD in August of 2015 by MGM/ Orion. Her Spirit Award-nominated film, SHE’S LOST CONTROL (writer/director: Anja Marquardt), had its World Premiere at the 2014 Berlinale, US Premiere at SXSW 2014, and NY Premiere at New Directors/ New Films. SHE’S LOST CONTROL was released theatrically by Monument Releasing in March 2015 and is currently available on VOD.

In addition to her work as a producer, Mollye is also an award-winning director. Her Adidas spec commercial was short listed for the 2010 AICP Awards and was a 2010 NY Student ADDY Award winner. It won Best Commercial at the 2011 BeFilm Underground Film Festival and the 2011 Burbank International Film Festival.

Mollye is a FIND Producing Lab and Fast Track alum, IFP Narrative Lab alum, TAP fellow and earned her Masters in film from NYU’s Graduate Film Program. She is currently the Operations Manager at Gamechanger Films, an equity fund that finances narrative feature films exclusively directed (or co-directed) by women.
