Set on a remote frozen lake in the Adirondack Mountains, And Winter Slow, is the story of Jezebel, a rugged young woman trying to escape a burdened life of caring for her ailing father-in-law, Robert. Her plans of running away with her lover are destroyed when her sister Rosie backs out of an agreement to take over the care of Robert. Jezebel is forced to make a dire decision between the life of Robert and her own freedom.
